  • Submit vacation requests at least two weeks in advance to the general manager. When possible, vacation requests are granted, taking into account operating requirements. Due to the nature of our small staff, it may not be possible to grant a specific vacation request if others are already taking off. Length of employment may determine priority in scheduling vacation times. The sooner you put your request in, the sooner it can be evaluated. If a co-worker already has approved time off scheduled, it may not be possible to grant an additional request. Request your time off before you make your personal plans. Vacation cannot be taken April 1 to June 15, without approval in advance from the general manager. Vacation during this time period should be requested only if necessary. Because we are a seasonal business, it is important to limit vacation time during the busiest time of year. Therefore, between the dates of April 1 and September 15: No more than 5 consecutive days of vacation may be taken without special management approval during this time period. Request must be submitted, preferably by April 1, but at least a month before the desired vacation. No more than 10 days in total (vacation and personal combined) may be taken during this time period. (April 1 to September 15)
