Some of our trees are grown in fabric root pots, which eliminates circling roots. With less need to cut these roots, there is little to no transplant shock.  Grown by an ISA Certified Arborist, the root flares are visible at the top and the trees are pruned to be structurally sound for the long run. This system produces trees that are superior, without the guesswork to eliminate girdling roots and manually locate root flares.

The fabric pots ARE NOT biodegradable and should be removed before planting.  Open the Velcro closure and ‘peel’ the pot off.  Do not worry if you hear roots snapping.  This is a good thing!  Everywhere the root breaks, it will form new fibrous roots.  If there is no Velcro closure, slice it from top to bottom in  3 or 4 places with a utility knife and peel the fabric off.
