Learn how to grow strawberries, blueberries, raspberries and blackberries in your home garden. This workshop will discuss the keys to success with these easy-to -grow, rewarding crops. Site preparation, soil fertility adjustments, varieties and other detail will be discussed. In addition, Scott will be happy to field questions on tree fruits such as apples, peaches, pears and cherries.
Scott Guiser was a Horticulture Extension Educator for Penn State for 38 years. He has BS and MS degrees in horticulture from Penn State. He has grown all of the fruit species we will discuss.
Advance registration required. Walk-ins may be available that day if there is room. Call the day before to inquire. The program is for adults and interested teenagers. The program is held in a covered area at the nursery, open to the weather. Please dress appropriately. Event is held rain or shine and may include time walking outdoors. Please leave your pets at home. The nursery is a non-smoking facility.
If you are unable to attend, you may send someone in your place. Refunds for tickets can be issued if ticket is cancelled 10 days before the event. After that time, we are unable to offer refunds.The registration form below accepts payment via PayPal.
