Everyone is a Winner
We’re celebrating a great season of meeting and getting to know our customers. What fun it has been! For our last week, we want you to know you are all winners to us! Before you check out, select a pumpkin to take home — our gift to you. These are cute little mini-pumpkins about the size of a cantaloupe. If your pumpkin is specially marked, you will win a $5, $10 or $50 gift card. It can be used on your purchase the same day! Out of 50 pumpkins, 5 are marked for a prize. So you have a one-in-ten-chance of getting a prize pumpkin.
Last Day of Regular Retail Hours
We are open Monday October 28 through Thursday October 31 from 9 am to 5 pm. Our last day of retail hours for the season will be Thursday October 31. We’ll be serving pumpkin spice latte’s!
We are still in prime planting season, despite the box stores clearing out their garden centers for holiday decor. The last thing we want to do is sell you plants that will not thrive. We would not sell if we were not confidant they will overwinter, and can provide late season planting tips during your visit.
Don’t be nervous to add to your gardens. Stop in and take advantage of our offer of receiving a half price plant with a purchase of any regular priced item, and don’t forget to enter our raffle while you’re here! (We’ll pull one ticket to get a gift card to use next year.)
How to Shop After October 31
It takes us all of November and some of December to get our plants ready for winter. We put all the plants in clusters, add wind protection, and then mulch them in with leaves. So we have to dis-mantle the displays and signage. But — we do know where the plants are, and can get them for you! It’s just that we are not longer set up for browsing the plants and our staff efforts turns towards getting ready for winter, as opposed to helping you browse and learn about native plants.
You can plant perennials till mid-November, and trees and shrubs as long as the ground is not frozen. If you are looking for plants, send us an email, tell us what species you are looking for and we will gather them up and have them ready for your pickup.
