Landscape ready perennial plugs are available for a limited time. Stop in early for best selection. Plug plantings are best done in early spring. These plugs measure 2″ x 4.5″ and can be planted directly into the ground. No minimum purchase is required and you can mix and match as many plugs as you like. $5 each.

Echinacea purpurea ‘Magnus‘ (Purple Coneflower) – great in sun to shade, supports birds and butterflies.
Viola striata (Cream violet) – a lovely creamy white violet. Ground cover for a semi-dry, shaded location.
Viola walteri ‘Silver Gem’ (Prostrate Blue Violet) – Forms a dense, tidy mat of heart shaped, silver streaked foliage. Can handle dry conditions once established.
Panicum virgatum (Switch Grass) – This warm season ornamental grass provides nesting material for birds as well as an architectural statement in the garden. We have the wild species ‘Heavy Metal’, ‘Prairie Sies’, ‘Shanandoah’ and ‘Cloud Nine’. Full sun, will grow in clay.
Solidago rugosa ‘Fireworks‘ (Fireworks Goldenrod) – Bright yellow arching stems provide important late season nectar for butterflies. Sun.
Veronicastrum virginicum (Culver’s Root) – Tall perennial tolerates wet soil. Good in rain gardens. A strong accent plant that supports butterflies.
Aster oblongifolius (Aromatic Aster) – Lovely blue, pair with goldenrod for a fall show.
Phlox paniculata ‘Jeana’ (Garden Phlox Jeana) – A butterfly magnet. Beautiful in drifts.
Phlox paniculata ‘Robert Poore’ (Garden Phlox Robert Poore) – Pair with coneflowers and Little bluestem.
Rudbeckia subtomentosa (Sweet Coneflower) – Perfect with Little bluestem or liatris.
Sisyrinchium angustifolium ‘Lucerne’ (Blue-eyed Grass, Lucerne)– Great for groundcover or edging.
Carex platyphylla (Silver Sedge) – Wide silver-green leaves pair well with Heuchera or columbine.
Sporobolis heterolepis (Prairie Dropseed) – a lovely fine textured clumping grass
Antennaria neglecta (Field Pussytoe) – A dainty, ground-hugging velvety leaf. Good for edging.
Campanula rotundifolia (Harebell) – Full sun to part shade, blooms blue. Use in a moist rock garden. Blue flowers in fall, deer resistant.
