Meet fellow native plant enthusiasts and enjoy the early evening in the gardens at Edge of the Woods. Bring your brag books, photos, native plants to share, or cut flower arrangements to trade with others or just to show off! We will also be open for shopping till 7 pm.
Native Plant Share
Exchange native plants with fellow gardeners. ONLY THOSE WHO BRING AT LEAST ONE PLANT CAN PARTICIPATE in the exchange. Plants must be submitted by 6 pm. Exchange time will begin after all the plants are sorted and labelled. Only native plants that are labelled with the plant name (common or botanic is OK) will be accepted at the plant exchange. We will check all submissions for health and native status before making the available to others. Please bring your plants in some sort of container or wrapped in damp newspaper.
Cut Flower Share
Bring a bouquet of flowers from your garden. Trade with someone else if you wish. We will display the bouquets and have a ‘people’s choice’ voting contest. Top 3 (maybe more!) vote-getters will receive an Edge of the Woods T-shirt as a prize.
Bring your “Garden Brag Book”
Bring photos or albums of your garden to inspire others. Especially Before and After pictures!
Display your Garden Art (paintings, pressed flowers, etc) of any kind.
We know lots of you have an artistic side. When you are not gardening, you are making art. Let us know what you will need to display your items.
Bring finger food to share if you are able.
Extra points if it is made with or from either native or invasive plants! 🙂
The evening will conclude with a Twilight Pollinator/Garden Tour
Space is limited. RSVP by Friday September 13th https://eotwparty.eventbrite.com
Wine and very light snacks will be provided. If you are able, please bring finger food to share. Bring a lawn chair if you’d like to sit.
