The best way to learn about our plants is to visit us!
Please allow plenty of time for your first visit. We have over 300 species of plants and if you are new to natives, you’ll need time to digest the information on all our signage.
We have several display areas for you to easily find plants in bloom. You are also welcome to browse the other six acres of our nursery, including an American Chestnut Orchard, meadow, demonstration gardens, and new hillside walking trail!
For a guided visit, please register for one of our Demonstration Garden Tours.

Please wear comfortable, secure footwear because most of our nursery terrain is grass and gravel. We are constantly watering plants in the nursery, and ask you please try not to wear flip flops because you could easily slip.
Most of our plants like sun, and we have lots of it! Bring a hat, sunglasses, wear sunscreen, and bring drinking water. We have places to rest and take shelter from the sun if need be, but please plan accordingly on hot, sunny days.
We are open in just about any weather conditions, unless treacherous. That said, we are open in the rain, but please note our indoor areas are off limits to customers. We do have umbrellas you are welcome to borrow!
Please keep your pets at home. We do not allow pets to wander the nursery, even if with a leash, and we do not have much shade to park in to keep pets cool in the car. That said, we love our animal friends, and have found it is safer and easier for everyone if they stay home.
