Who would have thought — when we first had the idea for a native plant nursery — that here we would be, twenty years later, with so many friends and clients, and a group of folks who join us every day in our efforts that have come to be like family? But here we are! Opening for another season of helping you bring life to your landscape in so many ways. We are grateful to everyone who has been with us these past years, and look forward to meeting even more native plant enthusiasts.
The landscape services crew is already in full swing and we open for shopping on Saturday. We have many many plants! We’ve got wide selection of perennial plugs. Sorry, we can’t post a list of what we have, as soon as we post it, it goes out of date. Rest assured we have plugs for sun, shade, dry, and wet. Between 50 and 100 species to choose from at any time. Mix and match for an economical way to get started.
We have a great crop of trees and shrubs too. Some we have grown ourselves from seed, others we’ve brought in from trusted partner growers. None of our plants are treated with harmful pesticides. All are safe for visiting pollinators. That’s why we plant them, after all!
A few plants will not be ready yet. It is too early for butterfly weed or milkweed. They need a few weeks of really warm weather to break dormancy. Grasses are still dormant, also.
We are putting together a robust season of educational offerings this year. Check them out here. There are more planned that we just haven’t had time to list yet! Check back and follow us on Facebook to learn of additional events. If you haven’t been to the nursery yet, why not sign up for one of our Tuesday morning tours? Its a great way to get an introduction to native plants and the nursery.
Our hours are Monday-Saturday 9 am to 4 pm. Last checkout each day is 4 pm. Closed on Sundays, July 4, Wednesday August 16 for staff development, and Labor Day Monday.
We look forward to seeing you!
