Pruning

Pruning can be overwhelming!  We are here to help.

We can prune your shrubs and small trees (up to 15 feet in height) or work along side you and show you how and where to cut, so you can learn to do it on your own.

Winter is a great time to prune.  The plants are dormant, and without leaves in the way it is much easier to see the overall shape of the tree.

Why Prune?

Improve branching structure
Rejuvenate a sheared, overgrown, or over-pruned shrub
Improve incorrect pruning practices
Reduce the size of a plant that may be overgrowing its space
Enhance the appearance of trees and shrubs in your landscape

We have expertise in:

Fruit tree pruning (native or non-native)
Teaching pruning skills to homeowner
Growing habit of both native and non-native trees and shrubs

We have expertise in pruning fruit trees — apple, pear, and many other home crops.  We’d be happy to teach you how to do yours!

Our pruning services include:

Pruning for improved branch structure in vines, shrubs, and small trees (less than 15′ tall).
Grapevine, apple, pear, and fruit tree pruning
Hands-on pruning training tailored to your landscape. We can help you learn how to prune the plants in your landscape working with you as you learn how, where, and when to cut.
We offer our pruning services for native and non-native plants.

If you would like to request our pruning services, let us know by filling out the form found here.
